Le plat le plus populaire de Tarente est le <em>Cozze alla Tarantina<\/em>, des moules baignant dans une sauce tomate relev\u00e9e. Vous trouverez \u00e9galement du calamar et d\u2019autres poissons servis grill\u00e9s ou crus dans pratiquement tous les restaurants. Pour d\u00e9couvrir ce qui se passe en coulisses, visitez le Mercato del Pesce le matin pour y observer les chefs s\u00e9lectionnant leurs produits pour le menu du jour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le restaurant de fruits de mer le plus connu de Tarente, Gatto Rosso, est renomm\u00e9 pour sa salade de fruits de mer chauds et ses plats des<strong> <\/strong>Pouilles revisit\u00e9s, dont les spaghettis aux palourdes de Tarente. Depuis les ann\u00e9es&nbsp;60, la m\u00eame famille est aux commandes de Ges\u00f9 Christo (qui se traduit par \u00ab&nbsp;J\u00e9sus Christ&nbsp;\u00bb), un autre restaurant de fruits de mer de renom, tandis que Rist\u00f2 Fratelli Pesce est connu pour ses produits de saison accompagn\u00e9s d\u2019une large s\u00e9lection de vins r\u00e9gionaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si vous n\u2019\u00eates pas friand de poisson, essayez les c\u00e9l\u00e8bres p\u00e2tes <em>orecchiette<\/em> en forme d\u2019oreille ou rendez-vous dans une boucherie pour y acheter des <em>bombette<\/em>, des rouleaux de viande avec diverses farces. Autrefois, Borgo Antico \u00e9tait une partie importante de la Magna Graecia. Ce nom fut donn\u00e9 en raison de la colonisation du sud de l\u2019Italie par les Grecs entre les huiti\u00e8me et cinqui\u00e8me si\u00e8cles av. J.-C. Les chefs d\u2019\u00c9tat hell\u00e9niques ont laiss\u00e9 derri\u00e8re eux plusieurs reliques, dont le temple de Pos\u00e9idon.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plus \u00e0 l\u2019ouest, vous trouverez la cath\u00e9drale de Tarente datant du XI<sup>e<\/sup> si\u00e8cle, un des plus vieux b\u00e2timents d\u2019art roman dans les Pouilles. Dirigez-vous vers Borgo Nuovo en traversant le pont pour y contempler la plus grande collection mondiale de figurines grecques en terre cuite au Museo Nazionale Archeologico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour une petite pause, allez vers le sud pour d\u00e9couvrir les plages pittoresques du Salento.
